Every summer for the last 55 years, campers have come to Camp Owl Tree from tens to hundreds of miles away. It’s here that they spend six glorious weeks of summer, breathing the fresh forest air, swimming in the cold lake, and screaming their lungs out while singing the Owl Tree camp song in front of a roaring fire under the stars.  

But not all of the summer is roasting marshmallows and sing-a-longs. This year, four mostly unsuspecting 12-year-old campers— Olivia, Wilder, Ari, and Benny— will stumble upon mysteries that only they can solve. 

It turns out there’s a mystery behind every corner at Camp Owl Tree. From missing trophies to haunted cabins, to eerie lake legends and cryptid sightings. Through a summer of  chasing clues through cabins and woods, the unlikely team of reporters turn the camp newsletter, The Hoot, from a snorefest into a hardhitting source of camp journalism. Not only do they sharpen their investigative skills and uncover the truth, they become close friends in the process.
