Product Safety - UK plug adaptor replacement - Yoto Player 2nd Generation - UK and Ireland Only
What’s happened?
We have identified an issue with the UK plug adaptor for a limited number of Yoto Player 2nd Generation products which, in very rare cases, may cause the UK plug adaptor to break.
In three reported incidents, the UK plug adaptor has broken when the user has tried to pull it out of the plug socket. This has resulted in live pins being left exposed.
This issue does not relate to all Yoto Player 2nd Generation products. Only a certain subset of Yoto Player 2nd Generation products supplied with a separate charger, with two optional interchangeable adapter pins for the UK and EU supplied by a specific manufacturer between September 2021 and May 2023.
We have identified the impacted Yoto Players, and communications have now gone out to all affected UK and Ireland customers via email and the Yoto App.

If your product is impacted, please order your free replacement UK plug adaptor by following these steps:
- Click ‘Order Free Replacement’ to add the Yoto Player (2nd Generation) Replacement Type G Pin to basket
- Log in before checkout, using the email address associated with your Yoto Player
- Checkout, using the code for 100% discount received on email and Yoto App. If you cannot find your code, please contact us at hello@yotoplay.com
We will send the replacement part as soon as possible and affected customers will receive an email when it has been dispatched. Delivery may take 4-6 weeks, but all replacements will be available by January 2025. Note, there won't be any partial deliveries, so we don't recommend adding any other purchases at checkout.
Step by step instructions on how to slide in the new interchangeable pin will be provided with the product, but we’d like to reassure you that this is a very simple removal and replacement process as shown in this video. Currently this upgrade option is only available to customers affected by this specific issue, but we are looking into a wider upgrade plan in future.
