What's changing?
At the end of August 2023, we’ll be stopping birthday shoutouts as you all know it. We have absolutely loved sharing birthday wishes for children all over the world, however, the community is fast-growing, and therefore it has become impossible for us (mainly Jake!) to keep up with the demand for personalised messages.
At the end of August 2023, we’ll be stopping birthday shoutouts as you all know it. We have absolutely loved sharing birthday wishes for children all over the world, however, the community is fast-growing, and therefore it has become impossible for us (mainly Jake!) to keep up with the demand for personalised messages.
The good news?
We’ve come up with a plan! You can download a pre-recorded shoutout from Jake via Yoto Space—ready to play on the morning of your little one’s birthday
(find this recording here).
And from September, Yoto Daily will include a section to celebrate notable birthdays and events, with a general wish from Jake for all those listeners celebrating a birthday that day.
What happens between now and then?
Birthday shoutout slots will still be available to book for celebrations between now and the end of August. Slots for July will become available on the 1st of May, and slots for August will become available on the 1st of June. Please note: birthday shoutouts usually fill up on the day the slots are released!
